Ethnic Room

(Click on Pictures for Larger Versions)

Exhibits show the diversity of man in many cultures and commonality in his early ways of surviving and interacting with his environment. The rock paintings of the Bushmen have been dated back 25,000 years and recent genetic studies indicate that the Bushman race may be the direct descendants of the first people on earth. There are exhibits of early and later cultures of Africa, America, Cambodia, China, Japan, South America, and the Eskimos. Masks of different peoples adorn the walls of the passage outside this room.
